Gem Silica- A Rare Beauty

I’ve been hoarding this stone for the right piece, and I’m so excited to finally let it go. 💙✨

This stunning gem silica was one of those stones I couldn’t leave behind when I found it at the gem show in Quartzsite, Arizona. Gem silica is a rare, highly prized variety of chalcedony known for its incredible blue-green color, often created by copper-rich mineralization. This one has so much character, with layers of earthy matrix and that beautiful, vibrant turquoise-blue color.

I set it by hand in sterling silver with a gold-fill accent, paired with a two-tone sterling silver and gold-fill chain. It measures 16.5 inches with a 2-inch extender, making it easy to wear at different lengths.

As always, this piece is handmade by me and signed on the back. One of a kind—because I’m pretty sure I won’t find another stone quite like this one. 🤎💙
