Permanent Jewelry Care
Can I shower with it?
Yes. Permanent jewelry is made to be worn daily, but gently pat it dry after showering, swimming, or sweating.
Can I swim with it?
You can, but chlorine, saltwater, and harsh chemicals may dull or discolor jewelry over time. Rinse with clean water and dry afterward.
How do I clean it?
Use a soft polishing cloth for sterling silver. For deeper cleaning, gently wash with mild soap and warm water, then dry completely.
What if it breaks or stretches?
Save the chain and bring it back to H.G. Jewelry. We’ll take a look and let you know if it can be repaired or re-welded.
What if I need to remove it?
You can safely remove it by clipping the jump ring or welded area with small scissors or nail clippers. Save the chain if you’d like it reattached later.
Can I wear it through airport security?
Yes. Fine jewelry usually does not need to be removed for airport security.
