Hold your phone near the charm.
The NFC tag will automatically open the Memory Charm page.

- Anything with a web address

Anyone you choose can access the memory simply by tapping the charm.
Setting Up Your Memory Charm
Follow these simple steps to add or update the link stored on your NFC charm.
Download NFC Tools
Install the free NFC Tools app from the App Store or Google Play.
You only need this app when adding or updating your charm.
Decide What You Want to Share
Before writing your charm, choose the memory you'd like it to open.
Popular ideas include:
- 📸 A shared photo album
- 🎥 A YouTube video
- 🎵 A Spotify playlist
- 💌 A digital love letter
- 📅 An anniversary countdown
- 🌎 A favorite location in Google Maps
- 📁 A shared cloud folder
- 🌐 Any webpage you'd like to share
Whatever opens in a web browser can usually be saved to your Memory Charm.
Copy the Link
Open the app or website containing your memory and copy its shareable link.
Examples:
- Share an album from Google Photos
- Copy a YouTube video link
- Share a Spotify playlist
- Copy a webpage URL
Be sure the link is accessible to anyone you want to share it with. Some private photo albums may require viewers to sign in.
Open NFC Tools
Launch the app and tap Write.
This is where you'll prepare your Memory Charm.
Add a Record
Tap Add a Record.
This allows you to choose the type of information you'll save to your charm.
Choose URL/URI
Select URL / URI from the list.
This tells your Memory Charm to open a webpage whenever someone taps it.
Paste Your Link
Paste the link you copied into the URL field.
Double-check that the entire address has been pasted correctly.
Tap OK to return to the Write screen
Test Your Charm
Close the NFC Tools app.
Now tap your bracelet with your phone.
Your chosen memory should open automatically.
Congratulations—your Memory Charm is ready to share!
Troubleshooting
My phone doesn't recognize the charm.
Move your phone slowly around the charm until it detects the NFC tag. The NFC reader is located in different places depending on your phone model.
I accidentally wrote the wrong link.
No problem! Simply repeat the steps above and write the new URL to the charm. The old link will be replaced.
Do I need NFC Tools every time I tap the bracelet?
No. NFC Tools is only used to write or update the charm.
Anyone can tap the bracelet without installing the app.
Can I change my memory later?
Absolutely! You can update your Memory Charm as often as you'd like by writing a new URL using NFC Tools.
Does it work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. Most modern iPhone and Android devices support NFC and can read your Memory Charm without any special app.
